"Cloud" means both a visible mass of water droplets in the sky and to make something unclear or obscure — so fog literally clouds plans by reducing visibility! Fog forms when air temperature and dew point are within a few degrees of each other, creating those tiny suspended water droplets. The foggiest place on Earth is Grand Banks off Newfoundland, where cold Labrador Current meets warm Gulf Stream air, creating fog over 200 days per year.
